Me and My Shadow

Us.

This weekend has been blah.  And now it's pouring down rain- which it's supposed to do for the next three days.  Double blah.  It is so not fun to be stuck inside with a very active two year old.  I have no idea what we'll do, hopefully I'll get some divine inspiration in my dreams tonight.  Or maybe you have some ideas?

Bake some cookies! Maybe some Easter-themed ones?

Great picture!

Have a dance-fest. Make captains hats out of old newspaper. Make hand & foot prints, add faces, and see what kind of random creatures you can create. Eat cake. Grab an umbrella, bundle up, and puddle jump. Put on bathing suits and splash in the tub. Draw pictures and create your own puzzles. Make soft bread pretzels or play dough cookies (From allrecipes.com). Read books. Find random objects and try to turn them into musical instruments; name your band.

Now I'm running out of ideas :) Hope that helps.

This is a cool shot! There are so many cool things you can do together, trust me, I did the single mom thing for about 10 years! I know my almost 2 year old loves to do all sorts of things with me. You could make a terrarium with an old glass jar and watch the cool things grow. Color a cheerful, spring-like picture together, bake something. Sometimes we just turn a favorite song or two on and dance for a few songs and it cheers us both up! Good luck!

Love your image and your blog. The typeface looks awfully familiar, almost if not the typeface I chose for my photog logo. ;)

Love the shadow shot! Very nice.

Chuck E Cheese is a good place to run off some energy. They have a section in the corner that is just for the littlest children. We head over there when it is too cold, hot or wet to go outside.
